What are Advertiser Domains?
Advertiser Domains are the domains of advertisers passed in bid requests. They allow publishers to control which advertisers can serve ads on their inventory. This feature is used for targeting, filtering, and brand safety purposes.
Where to find the settings?
In the Source settings you will find a dedicated block called Advertiser Domain Lists:
Advertiser Domain Lists - connect a pre-created allow/block list.
Additional advertiser domains - manually include or exclude specific advertiser domains.
See the highlighted example in the interface below:
Creating an Advertiser Domain List
Navigate to Tools → Domain Lists in the top menu.
Switch to the Adomain Lists tab.
Click Create on the right-hand side.
Fill in the required fields:
Name -choose a clear name (e.g. Block Gambling Adomains).
Type - select Adomain Lists.
Domains - enter advertiser domains, separated by commas (e.g.
example1.com,example2.com).Recursive - set Yes if you want the list to apply recursively.
Save the list. It will appear in the table with its ID, Name, Date, and Owner.
Use the Actions column (edit /delete) to manage your lists.
The list can be exported as a CSV file using Export to CSV.
Once created, the Advertiser Domain List can be attached to any Source in the Targeting → Advertiser Domain Lists section.
How does it work?
Advertiser Domain Lists
Connect an existing list (Allow or Block).
Works on the Source level.
Allow - only domains from the list will be accepted in the response from adverisers.
Block - all advertiser domains will be accepted in the response from advertisers, except those on the list.
Additional advertiser domains
Add domains manually in the input field.
Works as an extension to the main list.
Format:
domain1.com,domain2.com,domain3.com(comma separated).Choose Include (allow only these domains) or Exclude (block only these domains).
Advertiser Level Data Report
To monitor performance and analyze activity by advertiser domains, you can use the Advertiser Level Data report.
How to access the report:
Navigate to the Report menu in the top navigation bar.
Select Advertiser Level Data.
Choose your date range and other filters (e.g., Advertiser, Campaign, Adomain).
Click Run Report to generate results.
Important note:
At this stage, the Advertiser Level Data report is available only for RTB Sources and RTB Campaigns. Support for additional types of traffic may be added in future updates.
Example use cases
Brand safety
A publisher wants to block gambling or adult advertisers. A correspondent Block list is created and attached to the relevant source.Direct deal with a specific advertiser
A publisher wants to run an exclusive campaign. A correspondent's Allow list is created and attached to the relevant source.Hybrid setup
A user applies a global Block list and complements it with additional manually excluded advertiser domains.
Best practices
Use Allow lists mainly for direct deals to avoid limiting traffic too much.
Keep your Block lists updated with newly flagged or unwanted domains.
Make sure domains are entered in the correct format (comma separated, no spaces).
Remember: settings apply to the entire Source - changes will affect all campaigns connected to it.
