By default, every campaign request is validated against the Advertiser's Floor CPM configured on the Source.
If the campaign CPM is lower than the Source's required floor, the request is filtered and is not sent to the campaign.
The Ignore Supply Floors option disables this validation, allowing campaigns with a lower CPM to receive requests.
Example
Source: Advertiser's Floor CPM = $12
Campaign: CPM = $10
Result: Request is NOT sent to the campaign.
Ignore Supply Floors Enabled
When Ignore Supply Floors is enabled, the Advertiser's Floor CPM configured on the Source is ignored for this campaign.
The platform sends the request even if the campaign CPM is below the Source floor.
Result: Request is sent to the campaign.
When to Use
Enable Ignore Supply Floors when you want a campaign to participate in auctions regardless of the Advertiser's Floor CPM configured on the Source.
Typical use cases include:
- testing a new campaign with a lower CPM;
- increasing fill by allowing lower-priced demand to compete;
- temporarily bypassing Source floor validation without changing the Source configuration.
