Overview
Dashboards and Quick Stats help you track performance changes by automatically comparing metrics with previous periods.
Here's how the calculations work.
1. How Date Range Comparisons Work
The comparison depends on your selected date range:
| Selected Period | Compared With |
|---|---|
| Today | Yesterday, through the same reporting hour |
| Yesterday | The day before yesterday |
| Last 7 Days | The previous 7-day period |
| Last 30 Days | The previous 30-day period |
Important: Dashboard KPIs compare the total performance of the selected period, while percentage changes in Quick Stats tables compare each day individually.
For example, when Last 30 Days is selected:
- Dashboard: Compares the overall performance of the last 30 days with the previous 30 days.
- Quick Stats table: Compares October 31 with October 1, October 30 with September 30, and so on.
2. How Percentage Changes Are Calculated
All percentage changes follow the same formula:
Change (%) = (Current Value − Previous Value) / Previous Value × 100
Example:
| Revenue | |
|---|---|
| Current period | $12,000 |
| Previous period | $10,000 |
| Change | +20% |
- Green ↑: Performance increased.
- Red ↓: Performance decreased.
- —: Comparison data is unavailable or the change cannot be calculated.
For percentage-based metrics such as Fill Rate, the same formula applies.
For example, Fill Rate increasing from 5% to 6% represents a 20% relative increase, not 1%.
3. Why Reporting Hours Matter
To ensure accurate comparisons, the system uses only fully processed reporting hours when comparing periods that include today.
For example, if today's latest fully processed hour is 13:00–13:59, the comparison period is also counted only through 13:59 on its corresponding final day.
For Last 30 Days:
| Current Period | Previous Period |
|---|---|
| 29 full days + today through 13:59 | 29 full days + the final comparison day through 13:59 |
This prevents incomplete hours from creating misleading performance changes.
4. Performance Charts
Performance charts automatically adjust to the selected date range:
- Today / Yesterday: Hourly data.
- Last 7 Days / Last 30 Days: Daily data.
Multi-axis charts allow you to monitor several metrics, such as Revenue, Ad Requests, and Fill Rate, in one view.
These comparisons help you identify performance trends, monitor changes in traffic and revenue, and make more informed optimization decisions.
