In the Ad Server, the Campaign Timezone Configuration feature allows you to set the time zone at the campaign level, ensuring your campaign schedules, pacing, and reporting align with the intended region. While your account has a global default time zone, campaigns can be configured individually to support advertisers operating across multiple regions.
Key Benefits
- Align campaign schedules with local hours in the target region.
- Improve accuracy in pacing and start/end times.
- Ensure reporting reflects the correct timing context for each campaign.
- Override global default without affecting other campaigns.
Default Behavior
- By default, new campaigns inherit the Global time zone setting.
- You can override the inherited time zone during Campaign creation or editing.
- Setting a specific time zone at the Campaign level will take precedence over the Global time zone. The Line Items under the Campaign will also inherit the time zone set at the Campaign level.
How to Set a Campaign Time Zone
- Go to Campaign Settings
- Navigate to Campaign -> Campaign Settings.
- Locate the Time Zone Dropdown
- Under the End Date field, you will see a new Time Zone field.
- Change the Time Zone
- Click the dropdown to select your desired campaign time zone.
- All major global time zones are available and searchable (e.g., EST, PST, UTC, CET, IST).
- Save Your Changes
- Once selected, the new time zone is applied to the campaign and will persist after saving.
How Campaign Time Zones Affect Scheduling
- Start and End Dates: The campaign will begin and end according to the selected campaign time zone.
- Pacing and Renewals: Daily and monthly pacing are calculated within the campaign’s time zone.
Priority Logic Overview
- Campaign Time Zone: Used if set; overrides account.
- Account/Global Time Zone: Default if no override is applied.
