The Publisher tab is where you configure the inventory sources that the DSP will bid against. Each Publisher entry defines a supply path - this is where your DSP looks for available inventory, either via the built-in SSP or by plugging into an external SSP.
Think of this as your origin point for supply.
How It Works
Each Publisher entry connects to an Inventory Partner (who owns or manages the inventory), and from there, a Publisher entity is created with its own RTB endpoint URL. This URL is what you’ll use as the source in the SSP.
You can upload this URL directly into:
- The SSP (for internal use)
- An external SSP (to allow outside demand sources to access the inventory)
Best Practice: Always start from the Publisher tab and let the system generate the Inventory Source for you. This ensures clean 1:1 mapping between Publisher and Inventory Partner.
Creating a New Publisher
1. Go to the Publisher tab.
2. Click the Create button.
3. In the “Create New Publisher” screen, fill out the following:
- Required Fields:
- Publisher Name: Choose a name for the supply source.
- Type of Integration: Currently only “Open RTB” is supported.
- Publisher Revshare: Percentage of revenue deducted before responding to the SSP (0-99%). Impacts the price sent back to the supplier.
- Generate Inventory Source: Toggle this to “Yes” to automatically create a new Inventory Source and Inventory Partner behind the scenes.
Once saved:
- An RTB Endpoint Link will appear.
- Copy and paste this link into your SSP of choice.
Inventory Source Tab
The Inventory Source tab allows you to manage or create inventory sources manually. If you let the Publisher tab handle this automatically, there’s usually no need to touch the Inventory Source tab directly.
Note: A publisher can only be associated with one Inventory Source. Creating or assigning a new one will override the original link.
